With that title, you really have no idea what to expect from this brand new Merkur slot. It’s very different, to say the least, and when you first see the game screen you might wonder if there is something wrong with it.
Why? Well, read our review and you’ll see what we mean… By the way, this is an Egyptian-themed slot, not that you’d guess from the title!
Er, one. Yes, you read that right. The big symbol on the left of the screen under the Sonnenkafer name isn’t the logo – that’s the reel! There’s just one, and there is only one symbol on it. It’s a brave move, don’t you think?
You can adjust the value of the coin in the bottom right of the screen to play each bet. These will be between the value of five cents and five dollars.
There are just four symbols here – an ankh, a sphinx and a beetle are the good ones to get. There is also a horrifying mummy you won’t want to see.
The aim of the game is to get one of the main three symbols to appear to win a prize. You can then choose to collect part or all of that prize, or spin again. If you spin again and you get one of the three good symbols, it will light up accordingly on the ladders to the right of the reels.
You have to try and get all the way up a ladder without being knocked out by the mummy. He will drop you back a step. Remember, you can collect some or all of your prize at any stage.
You need to try and get all the way to the top of the ladders if you can, and if you get to the wheel in the middle, you could spin for a bigger prize!
Considering this only has one reel and one symbol appearing at most with each spin, Merkur has managed to do the near-impossible. They’ve created a simple slot game that is actually anything but – it has a lot more to offer than you might think, and it is definitely worth trying out.
