Until October 8, Intertops Poker and Juicy Stakes have been holding online satellite tournaments to find the best players. Top players receive a package that brings them to Australia for the Aussie Millions Guaranteed No-Limit Hold'em Tournament. That tournament takes place January 21.
The prize package offered by Intertops and Juicy Stakes includes four nights in Melbourne's Quay West Suites, the $1,150 buy-in, and $500 to help with airfare.
The Steps to the Big Prize
The Aussie Millions Step 1 Tournaments have a $3 buy-in. They're held every day at 2:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. EST starting September 27. One winner will be chosen to advance to Step 2.
Step 2 starts September 28th and takes place at 9:00 p.m. The buy-in is $10. The winner of this tournament goes on to the Aussie Millions Final.
There's also the Last Chance Tournament being held on October 8. The buy-in for the Last Chance Wild West Satellite is $1. The tournament begins at 1:00 p.m. Later that day, at 5:00 p.m., the Aussie Millions Satellite Final takes place. The buy-in is $100. The winner of that tournament gets the Aussie Millions $3,500 package to go to Australia for the big tournament.
What You Need to Know
To enter the satellite tournaments, you must be 18 or older. If you win, you cannot sell or transfer your prize package to someone else. The tournaments are open to anyone, but Intertops Poker and Juicy Stakes are not covering airfare, so the winner must understand that they are paying for their own flights. The $500 travel cash is given after flights are booked and paid for. Winners agree to wear the casino's clothing during the tournament, which may be televised.
